To Bash Or Not To Bash
"I love the idea of causing the greatest possible offense to people with the smallest of minds." - Kitty Go, Chic Happens: An explosive celebrity and fashion insider account.
Let me give you guys an example of what the quote means for me. Our office operates on a 24/7 basis since we're customer service. This means that we have work during holidays. What the management does is they post a volunteer sheet in the pantry for people to sign when they want to work during the holidays and earn mucho dinero of course. :) When the sheet is not filled up, management will start to pick out names from this fishbowl. The usual trend is that if you don't volunteer often, your name is picked out. So, goodluck. :)
Anyway, i overheard a conversation the other day from a team leader and one of her members.
TEAM LEADER: Sige, volunteer ka na! MEMBER: Ah talaga? TL, malaki ba yung chance na mabunot ako? TEAM LEADER: Pwede kasi alam mo ako 'di ako nagvo-volunteer pero lagi ako nabubunot. Ewan ko ba!
Duh?! Goodness. That's the point! If you don't volunteer, there's a big chance that your name will be picked out. You also have to consider that management takes note of people who don't volunteer... at all. To be fair I guess.
Now going back to the quote. I admit I'm a basher. I like/love to flagellate people. I know it's not good but I'm not a saint either. Maybe I can just attribute it to the fact that I have strong senses. Hehe. :) Besides, a friend of mine told me bashing is somewhat therapeutic. I agree. Don't get me wrong. I don't bash everyone and everything. Just the ones that deserved to be bashed. Haha! :)
I don't know but there are people who think they're better than the others. They feel so superior that they tend to look down on others which I think is so wrong. These may include human beings who think they know everyone and everything to the point that they end up sounding stupid.
More than anything, it's always good to look back and be thankful for all your blessings. I mean, be grateful for the people who helped you along the way. Do not deny the things that you did before. The person that you were before. No matter what we do, the past will always catch up with us.
So, what's it going to be guys? To bash or not to bash? :)
Hangover
It's been 4 days since I came from Baguio but I still have the hangover. :) I could still smell the pine trees and the warm breeze whenever I went outside. I guess I'll never be over the place. I'll just keep coming back to it until I find myself settled there already. I just really love the place! I'm inlove with Baguio! :)
One more thing I like about it is that the people are really nice. The cab drivers... they're the best! Even if your change is just P 1.00 they'll give it to you. Unlike here in Manila. Ho-hum. They have that certain sense of honesty and you have to love that. Also, they're very hospitable and helpful because there was a time wherein we were kinda lost and a gracious cab driver helped us find the place. Wow. :) ---------------------------
Anyway, it's the last week of my vacation leave. I plan to do a couple of errands this week. This morning I went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned. :) Then Crissy and I met up to have lunch and dessert of course. After that, I went to Globe to have my free phone fixed(again). Later, I'm meeting up with Monch for our usual after work "lafang" and bashing. Oh I can't wait. :) Maybe on Wednesday, I'll meet up with Crissy again because we're going to the mall. Thursday and Friday? No plans yet. Maybe I'll just stay home and watch my Wonderwoman dvds.
Saturday or Sunday?
Ever since yesterday, I've been confused on what day I was in. When I woke up this morning, I thought it was Sunday already. So, I was looking for the tv shows I usually watch. Then yesterday, I was waiting for the usual Pinoy Big Brother eviction night then I saw the housemates all dressed in white. It was Uma's birthday. It was Friday. :) It's been a while since that happened to me. I'm usually accurate with the days. Oh well.
Hah! I'm officially on vacation leave! Yahoo! Yipee! Woohoo! :) I'm just so relieved that I won't work for 2 weeks. I'm off to Baguio on Tuesday. Hopefully. I'm going with one of my close friends, Tina. We have everything planned out already. I'm so excited. I guess I need this. I have to unwind or else I might snap? Nah. Not really more like go insane. :)
